Ruaha National Park entry fees
All fees below are VAT-exclusive. TANAPA adds 18% VAT on top: a $30 conservation fee is $35.40 at the gate.
If you only want the answer
A non-East African adult pays $30 plus 18% VAT, so $35.40 per day, with a vehicle fee for foreign registrations of $40 plus VAT up to 2,000 kg or $150 plus VAT above it, which catches most safari 4x4s, and $35.40 camping. Gates are cashless. TANAPA's own website shows $70; the tariff sheet says otherwise, and our fees page carries both.

Flat rate year-round. Ruaha has no peak/low season split. Permits allow multiple entries within their validity (day permit: 12 daylight hours; sleep-over permit: 24 hours).

TANAPA's own website says $70. Here is why we still say $30.
The Ruaha page on tanzaniaparks.go.tz currently lists an entry fee of $70 for international adults. The official TANAPA tariff sheet says $30 plus 18% VAT, and so does every independent source we can find.
The same $70 sits on the Ruaha, Katavi, Mahale, Nyerere and Tarangire pages, which is a giveaway: it is the Serengeti rate, repeated. The same block on both the Ruaha and Katavi pages also puts the nearest airport 40 km from Kilimanjaro, which is several hundred kilometres out. It reads as template text rather than a park-by-park figure.
Until that is settled, budget $35.40 per adult per day and carry enough for $82.60 in case the gate charges the higher rate. If you are told $70 at the gate, tell us and we will put it on this page the same week.

Something this page does not answer?
Fees are the one thing park authorities change without telling anyone, and some of them publish nothing at all.
Ask us. We answer questions about the park itself, and we can usually tell you which camps work on one route and who to write to. If what you want is a trip someone else arranges, we will say so and hand you to an operator we know, and we earn a commission if that becomes a booking.
