About this guide

Who's behind Visit Ruaha?

Independent, non-commercial, and built on the TANAPA tariff rather than on other people's summaries.

What this site is

This is a reader-funded-in-spirit guide to Ruaha: no bookings taken here, no safari company behind it, and no way to pay for a better place on a list. We built it because the practical information about this park was scattered, outdated, or written to sell something.

How we check things

Fees come from the official TANAPA tariff documents, not from copied operator pages, and every fees page shows when it was last verified. Wildlife claims follow peer-reviewed research where it exists. Folklore figures are skipped or marked. Lodge information is compiled from operators' own materials and cross-checked against multiple sources.

Found something outdated or wrong? Tell us via the contact form and we'll fix it, that's the whole point of this site.

Sister sites

We run a small group of guides to Africa's quieter great parks, each one built the same way: Katavi and Udzungwa elsewhere in Tanzania, Kafue in Zambia, Gonarezhou in Zimbabwe. There is no shared booking engine and no advertising between them.
